DAY SEVEN: I am grateful for my family.
I am spending the day with my family and it totally spaced my mind to post my gratitude page until just now. It has been such a fun day, visiting and joking, sharing meals, and even shopping. My sister helped me gather some finishing touches for my office, including an awesome new painting! (Come see it!)
Family is one of those things – you fight, you push
, you bond. You have individual needs, and group needs and you learn to set boundaries. You learn to forgive, accept, let go. Sometimes you hold on, stay angry, and refuse to budge. In some weird way, it all works out one way or the other and life goes on.Today has been a wonderful time with my family and I am grateful for that. There have been rough and ugly times, embarrassing times, and unforgettable times as well. I am grateful for those times, too. For the loved ones to lean on, the group to belong to, the people I learn from. For my family.
