One day a a time
Probably some part of you is wondering how you could increase your happiness or you wouldn’t have opened this email.
You’re not alone. We live in a fast-paced world where a lot of expectations are placed upon us. With everything we need to “do” it’s hard to get in touch with how to “be” – and who we truly are, at our soul level.
There’s just too much noise. We can’t hear ourselves.
Unless we choose to make this a priority.
Over the years, I have consciously chosen to listen to myself more – my intuition, my Higher Self, the quite inner voice that holds so much wisdom (and spunk, I’ve discovered!) And by getting more aligned with my soul, I make choices and take action that is from that place of alignment. And I am much, much happier.
It is because I have chosen to listen to myself that my behavior has shifted to hold this intention.
Create an intention first. Behavior follows.
Who knows better then you what makes you happy? Your mother? Your husband? Your friend? Your boss?
I doubt it. If you think they do, you are giving away your responsibility for your own joy.
You are in charge of your own joy.
So, how do you make yourself happy? One day at a time. One choice at a time. By listening to your inner voice, the voice of your own truth. There is no “one thing” that will make you happy externally. You make think that a certain job or relationship or finally buying a house will bring you joy..
And it might. But not for the reason you think it will.
These things bring you joy because you listened to and followed your inner voice. Having a relationship will not bring you joy. But following your intuition as to the right relationship for you will bring you joy. Changing jobs or starting a business will not bring you joy – but following your own inner voice as to which job or business is right for you next is what brings you joy.
How’s your Joy Radar right now? Is it fined-tuned? Or dusty and in need of some batteries?
Bring that puppy out today and put some batteries in.
You make yourself happy by listening to yourself?
But what if you do hear that inner voice – and don’t want to listen to it?
We’ll talk about that next week. For now, just listen to yourself. See what arises and just practice building this muscle first.
Until next time…
With love and light,
Nicole Justine Cavanaugh
P.S. I’ll be traveling for the next few weeks – and I’m going to write about this next topic for you to read next week so you can continue your Joy Momentum. Just practice listening to yourself this week without worrying about fear. One thing at a time 🙂
