“When you unleash your potential, you are living as the best version of yourself. It is unconditional love towards yourself. You are letting go of what others think, and living your life the way your heart wants to live it – not the way anyone else says you “should.”
~Nicole Justine Cavanaugh
Do you love yourself?
I mean, really love yourself?
For many of us, this is a journey, a practice of self-awareness and self-care that continues to deepen as our life progresses.
I know, for myself, it has been a process. I used to compare myself to others and never felt I measured up. My mind would latch on to everything negative and pull me down with it. It was a process but I learned how to transform my relationship with myself and now I can say I love myself fully – and the way I treat myself is kind and loving and generous.
I learned that being gentle with yourself, taking excellent care of yourself, and being kind to yourself when your mind tries to say mean things to you are all ways to love yourself and excellent practices to engage in. They make you feel more whole.
So I support my clients in making this their new way of life.
And, there is another way to love yourself fully: Unleashing your potential.
Why is unleashing your potential the path to self-love?
Because, when you unleash you potential, you are opening yourself up to the fullest expression of yourself. You are acknowledging your gifts, your unique genius, and you are saying Yes! to what lights you up.
When you unleash your potential, you are living as the best version of yourself. You are no longer stuck. You live in the Flow. You no longer doubt yourself (and when you do, you get out of it quickly). You trust yourself and, through taking aligned action, you reinforce this positive feedback loop.
It is unconditional love towards yourself. You are letting go of what others think, you are letting go of the voices inside or outside that might derail you, you are facing fear and not shying away from it but walking through it, and you live your life the way your heart wants to live it – not the way anyone else says you “should.”
And what is extra awesome, is that when you walk confidently (without ego, just with love) in what you have to offer, and do so form the greater being-ness of yourself, you give others a model for what this looks and feels like – and what the inspiring impact it has on others.
You give them more permission to fully be themselves, too.
Are you feeling like you are living up to your potential? How do you know?
Ask yourself these:
- What would living up to your potential look and feel like?
- Where are you now in relation to that vision?
- What is in the way?
- What do you need to help get you there?
Are you living up to your potential? If not…
…action will you take differently to fully love yourself and be all you can be?
Until next time…
