Paint Martini and Juicy Inspiration

I painted yesterday for the first time in a long time. It felt so healing to hold the brush in my hand, to feel the paint slipping along the canvas, to experience the lightheaded freedom that comes when I am creatively focused, to allow the music I was listening to sink into my bones.

I didn’t have a color mixer platter thingy (the name escapes me) so I decided to be creative and use a martini glass! Using the glass made painting even more fun! A Paint Martini!

Above is my Paint Martini and what I painted – colorful fruit!

I have been wanting to put up a pic of something healthy and inspiring in our kitchen and I couldn’t find anything that resonated. So, I created it.

The lettuce is a bit odd, I admit, but I was pretty tired by then and just happy I finished the set. If you have any ideas on how to make the lettuce look more lettuce-y, I am open to suggestions!

Ahh, creativity. What a healing release.
